With our Teen Checking (Share Draft) Account, our teen members have the tools and resources they'll need to become financially savvy adults. Call us and make an appointment to speak to a representative to open your teen’s account and get them on the right path of financial success. To open a Teen Checking Account, your teen is required to maintain a minimum of $5.00 in their savings account.

Your Teen Checking Account is much like your Basic Checking Account with a few differences. Your teen must have a joint owner that is 18 years or older. There are no monthly service fees, and teens 16-17 years old are eligible to receive a debit card at no cost to you. This debit card can be in your teen's name with joint owner's consent to liability. If you request a replacement card, there is a $10 fee (no fee for fraud or expired cards).

Your Teen Checking Account will let your teen take care of business the way they enjoy, with Online and Mobile Banking options available to them and you. Plus, reviewing your teen’s accounts is just a click away. At age 18, you have the option to remove the joint owner’s name to convert into a Basic Checking Account.

*The only costs associated with your Teen Checking (Share Draft) Account are the cost of their checks and any overdraft fees they may incur as the result of overdrawing their account. Please be assured we will work with them in attempting to avoid overdraft fees.
