Visa Credit Card FAQs

  1. What is a Credit Card?
A Credit Card is a card used to charge purchases from merchants without directly linking the purchase to your share or share draft account. People use credit cards for many reasons; primarily for security when purchasing from merchants online or for emergency purchases. Another reason credit cards are useful is they help build and maintain good credit standing if they are used responsibly and their balances are kept low.
  2. How can I get a VISA Credit Card?
To obtain a VISA Credit Card from Your Legacy FCU, the first step is to apply! The VISA Platinum Credit Card still boasts a lower rate, but also offers rewards through UChoose Rewards at 1.5 reward points per dollar spent. The types of rewards you can redeem are gift cards, merchandise, and cash-back that can be used for whatever you want! If you are new to the credit world, we have options for you, too! We offer Share Secured VISA Classic and Platinum Credit Cards, as well. Share Secured cards are cards that utilize a sum of money that we hold in an account as security for the credit line.
